Parent company Nestle, amongst many other rights violations, owns a controlling stake in Osem, an Israeli food manufacturer operating in occupied Palestine.
To quote Boycott Israel Online regarding Nestle, âThe Swiss multinationalâs investments in Israel extend beyond research. NestlĂ©âs initial 10% stake in Osem, a prominent Israeli food manufacturer, has grown steadily, reaching a controlling 53.8%, an investment valued at over $850 million. Now Nestle owns a controlling stake in Osem. NestlĂ©âs diversified portfolio in Israel includes the ownership of Nespresso Israel Ltd in Tel Aviv Occupied Palestine, which supplies coffee brewing equipment. Additionally, in 2010, NestlĂ© acquired a 51% stake in Materna Laboratories, a leading Israeli baby food company, for $72 million.â
