Sabra Hummus is now entirely owned by PepsiCo (as of late 2024, Israeli food manufacturer Strauss Group sold all of its shares in the company) which exploits the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
In response to a Facebook campaign in Feb 2011 to boycott Sabra Hummus products, previous co-owners Strauss Group told Forbes:
“For us, Israeli soldiers are not army; Israeli soldiers are our kids..” (Forbes: Hummus Hullabaloo)
