Waitrose stocks ‘Israeli’ produce, including the complicit Sabra Hummus. In a statement issued in 2009, Waitrose said they had visited the occupied West Bank and were happy with the producers, despite their operating on stolen land, because Waitrose “are not motivated by politics”.

In 2015, Waitrose faced backlash for publishing a brochure named Taste of Israel, funded by the Israeli Government Tourist Office, as supplementary material for its magazine Kitchen.
