Following Oct 7th 2023, Oracle declared that it “stands with Israel” and CEO Safra Catz “strongly condemned the terrorist attack and declared its solidarity with Israel in the fight against terror.” Alongside a $1m donation to medical efforts in Israel, Oracle also offered “all support necessary to the Government of Israel and defense establishment”.
In January 2024, Oracle announced a second data centre in Israel, with CEO Safra Catz meeting Israeli politicians including President Benjamin Netanyahu and declaring that “Oracle would double its investment in Israel”.
Oracle’s co-founder, Larry Ellison, is a staunch and vocal Zionist including being responsible for the largest single donation to the IOF (via Friends of the IDF) amounting to $16.6m in 2017.
