The US and China have agreed on a deal to move TikTok’s American operations into a new US-led company, of which 80% is set to be owned by pro-Israeli software giant Oracle Corporation, private equity firm Silver Lake and venture capital giant Andreessen Horowitz.

This move rings alarm bells as it will likely increase the platform’s newfound hostility towards pro-Palestinian content. In July 2025, Tiktok hired ex-IOF instructor Erica Mindel to define its hate speech policy. As for Oracle, its founder Larry Ellison is “one of Silicon Valley’s most pro-Israel figures and has made significant donations to the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF).”
