The Spanish Ministry of Defence has cancelled a $823m deal with Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit Systems for its SILAM rocket launcher system. This move also includes a ban on the use of Spanish airspace to transport arms to Israel.

Spanish PM Pedro Sanchez has long been vocal against the genocide in Gaza, and this latest move is part of an arms embargo moving towards a permanent ban.
